[DEPRECATED] No Pressure From Theological Combat

Description
DEPRECATED
I'm no longer maintaining this mod and likely won't even respond to comments here. This game option (and many more) is maintained in my flagship mod: DB's Civ VI Gold. Unsubscribe to this and subscribe to that.

DESCRIPTION
Theological Combat no longer affects the religious pressure in nearby cities. The Monsastic Isolation belief is removed (because it has no effect anymore).

Normally, when Condemn Heretic or Theological Combat occurs, the loser loses some religious pressure in the nearby cities and the winner gains some. This mechanism makes it hard to convert a foreign civ to your religion. They already have the advantage of creating cheap defender units (Inquisitors) on the spot, but then when they win a battle it undoes the spreads you used before they created their defenders.

NOTE
Currently I don't play with this mod enabled.

Just a quick note to say that this mod is now deprecated but the idea lives on as a Game Option in DB's Civ VI Gold .

good, and same with me. I like how it has the atom symbol which is perfect for my Intellectualism religion. I'd have went with Scientology but that's been taken...

Not at all. Historical religions is one of my must-have mods.

Would this mod conflict with Tomatekh's Historical Religions?

Yeah, because if you were unable to do this yourself, it would be virtually impossible to block someone else's religious victory if they suddenly show up with about 40 Apostles and Missionaries, which the AI loves to do. Theological Combat is also one of the best ways to spread religion if you have a team of Apostles and Gurus, especially if the Apostles are Debaters.

Condemn Heretic isn't an option if you're not at war, so this basically removes the whole point of Theological Combat from the game. If you're having problems with Inquisitors, this really doesn't do much to blunt their threat, since they can still remove heresy.

I mean, I guess it's an option if you really wanna easy mode your religious victory, but it really looks like you missed the point of theological combat.
