Remember Escape from Aperture Pt. 1? Remember how disappointingly easy and nonthreatening it was? Well, consider this my best form of apology.

This is a redux of the Wheatley boss battle. Not related to Escape from Aperture, but its own mix.

Morely, it's a mix between the main Portal 2 Final Boss and the 12 Angry Tests (by CaretCaret) boss battle.

Reasons why:
Main Battle characteristics:
- It's a battle against WheatDOS
- The facility is in imminent danger.
- Bombs and neurotoxin are implemented.
- It involves PotatOS and the Core Transfer.
12 Angry Tests Battle characteristics:
- The arena is themed after the Art Therapy theme. (Plastic walls)
- The bombs are dropped out of tubes and launched at the player by faith plates.
- It's not quite normal.
Custom characteristics:
- The faith plates become beneficial to the player at some point
- Wheatley's shields are light bridges
- The tubes break at certain points
- The core transfer is initiated, but since there is no moon suction here, you see GLaDOS's head initially enter the room. (See Portal 2 final battle ending sans the moon suction)

Known bugs/mistakes/goofs:
- May be laggy.
- Some dialog blends together/is improperly timed
- Wheatley's lines sometimes don't cut off when he's stunned
- Obligatory lighting errors on physboxes
- Wheatley's bottom row of shields clips through the body ring
- The broken tube debris might complicate things
- In Phase 2, sometimes the glow on a node doesn't disappear when the node is down.
- In Phase 3, Wheatley's hitbox is a little off. My solution? Stand so Wheatley is directly between you and the bomb tube, and when the bomb hits the plate, dash to your left or your right.
- In certain situations during Phase 4, you could very well get to the stalemate button but are blocked by an invisible wall.

Walkthrough:
Phase 1:
- After the dialog finishes, get the bombs to hit the bases of the four pillars around the room.
- Grab Space Core and hop on the lowered faith plate to plug him in on the left wall.
Phase 2:
- Get a bomb to hit each of the four floor nodes. A node is deactivated when it stops spinning and stops glowing green. (Glow might not disappear)
- TIP! Bombs typically aim at where your feet are located.
- Grab Adventure Core and hop on the plate to plug HIM in on the right wall.
Phase 3:
- Simply get a bomb to go between Wheatley's shields and hit him. Hitbox is a little buggy. (See bugs section)
- Grab Fact Core and take the faith plate to plug him in the back wall. (Beware of falling tubes)
Phase 4:
- After Wheatley turns on his mobile shields, wait for GLaDOS to come in.
- After GLaDOS finishes talking, she will lower the right and left faith plates.
- Jump on either of the aforementioned plates to get atop Wheatley, and from there, dash around to hit all four buttons.
- Hop down and hit the Stalemate Resolution Button.
- Leave when GLaDOS tells you to.

Congratulations! You've beaten the boss. Did you need the walkthrough?

Hey, you. I see you there, about to post a comment.
DON'T. ASK. ABOUT. WHEATLEY.
Mmkay? Good.

FAQ: "How did you get Wheatley in there?"
- I use the Portal 2 Authoring Tools, the toolkit used by Valve themselves to create the main single-player and multiplayer campaign of Portal 2. As such, this tool has every single asset in the game available for use, though you need to figure it out first before you can do anything.

Hammer is the baseline for making any Source Engine game map, as it is Valve's own tool.

I sadly do not have the time to tutorialize on absolutely everything about it, but I invite you to check out the Valve Developer Community wiki, which has much information that can help, if you have the time to study it.

Are you sure you're pressing E / your +use key on the buttons?
The buttons also make a distinctive noise and display an animation when pressed.
And, with the last button, Wheatley's face clips into it a little, so you have to aim your crosshair lower on the model to press it when it is obscured.

The lack of a portal gun is intentional.
But you can do something.

Also there's literally a walkthrough in the description.
