Description

A comprehensive bug-fixing mod for Petroglyph's Empire at War: Forces of Corruption expansion. The goal of the Unofficial Forces of Corruption Patch (also UFoCP) is to correct as many errors within FoC as possible, to whatever limit is available within the Alamo engine.

NOTE:
THIS REQUIRES THE LATEST UPDATED PATCH FOR FoC ONLY! RETAIL VERSIONS ARE NOT SUPPORTED, ONLY Steam COPIES! THIS WILL NOT WORK FOR THE MACINTOSH VERSION OF THE GAME!

Star Wars: Empire at War – Forces of Corruption: the eight-month-in-dev expansion. On its release, Forces of Corruption released with slews of bugs. Petroglyph released a bunch of patches in post, but many issues still remained.

The overall point of the UFoCP is to be a comprehensive one-does-all patch for FoC. The goal: to eventually fix every bug with FoC not officially resolved by Petroglyph, to the limits of what's possible in the Alamo engine and community-developed tools, in one package.

Features:
  • Many gameplay, audio and text fixes.
  • No "flavor" changes (changes made in personal taste). All changes are made as neutrally as possible, for a proper experience.
  • Designed as a modular base for all mods that want it.

MOD NOT LAUNCHING FROM "MODS" MENU

Try one or a combination of these fixes:

1). Set Forces of Corruption's .EXE files (runme2.exe, StarWarsG.exe, swfoc.exe) to launch as an administrator.

2). Set Forces of Corruption's .EXE files (runme2.exe, StarWarsG.exe, swfoc.exe)' compatibility mode to "Windows XP - Service Pack 2."

3). Run the game in windowed mode.

If all else fails, run the mod directly with the launch option "STEAMMOD=1548018187."

It just doesn't work. I tried every step in help section, and nothing. Even launch option didn't help
Although for some reason, i can't set compatibility mod for StarWarsG and swfoc, only windows 7,8 and vista available

@IndustryStandard - Don't worry about it; "Download ZIP" at the top right, then go to your [Star Wars Empire at War\corruption\Mods] folder, create a UFOCP folder, drop the files in (top-level folder in the mod's folder should be the Data folder). Then launch the game with "MODPATH=Mods\UFOCP" in command line options.

Have fun!

Oh sweet

Maybe obvious question, but after downloading the zip and extracting am I supposed to just manually copy/paste over the workshop files for the mod?

Greatly looking forward to the next update for this. Still hoping someone makes a submod to rebalance the corruption or just adds more galactic conquest maps that don't feature them.

A new, HD recreation of the main menu is apart of 2.0.0, so that shouldn't be an issue anymore.

@Cyris - Yeah. I stopped for a bit on the new update since I was burned out on an AI issue. My changelog is in the EaW Community Discord under the #ufocp channels. I've received some help so I'll beginning work again at some point soon.

Also i have a suggestion to put a button on the main menu so that we know it loaded correctly.

Are you still Working on this?

UFoCP came a bit too late in FoC's lifecycle for it to be as compatible with other mods like Arthmoor's patches. It may work with some, I'm sure the right files will be overwritten when necessary, but for now UFoCP is kinda on its own until more mods adopt it as a solid base.
