Description
Almost feels like you are in SpaceX while using this. This rocket does not use Gimbals.

Most recent description update: Jan 16.

Requirements:
  • Decent Flight Experience
  • Ability to React Quickly
Controls
These are based off your W.A.S.D side of the keyboard, meaning this rocket is easier to adjust to.
  • Left Shift: Rockets in Upper Housing
  • Space: Rockets in Lower Housing
  • W: Tilt Forward
  • A: Tilt Left
  • S: Tilt Right
  • D: Tilt Back
  • 1: Air Flaps / Landing for Lower Housing
  • 2: Air Flaps for Upper Housing
  • 3: Emergency Abort.
Takeoff Procedures
Look for the black aerodynamic blocks at the top of the rocket, this is the "Front Face" of the rocket. Maintain your camera in front of those blocks. I recommend using Orbit or Sticky Orbit Cameras.
  • Find flat terrain, and enter rocket.
  • Press 1. Do not reset flaps.
  • If you are struggling to maintain upright, use upper flaps as well (Press 2).
  • Press Shift.
  • Press Space, you are now launching.
  • Make adjustments with W.A.S.D as needed.
  • Keep flying until you cannot see land.
Landing Procedures
Continued from takeoff list. Assuming you are far up into the atmosphere and falling with engines off.
  • Keep the Rocket upright at all times!
  • Make sure all Flaps / Landing Legs are engaged (Press 1 & 2 if not engaged).
  • Press Shift.
  • Allow the rocket to fall, it should correct itself.
  • Press Space to slow fall speed further.
  • Continue to engage or disengage speed with "Space" to adjust rocket position and landing.
  • Once ready to fully shutoff, make sure both engines are off near the ground.
How to Initiate Emergency Pod Landing
Since this pod is bottom heavy, almost no tilt adjustment is needed on the fall. If you engage this too late (falling too quickly), the pod will will not turn over or you will not enough time to engage the rockets and prevent the inevitable crash.
  • Press 3.
  • Press 2.
  • Press Shift. Toggle the rocket to adjust position and falling speed.
  • If you are still falling too quickly, press W.A.S.D together to use the remaining rocket power.
Rocket Testing Experiments
Document 1: Launching Full Flaps
  • Rocket is very stable. Almost no adjustments needed.
  • Rocket speed reduced severely.
Document 2: Launching Lower Flaps
  • Rocket is somewhat stable. More adjustments needed but overall usuable.
  • Rocket speed is decent, but not truly fast.
Document 3: Launching Lower Flaps, then disengage all Flaps
  • Rocket can be stabilized. Although very sensitive and exponential turning.
  • Rocket speed is at fast as it could reach with the rocket power provided.
Document 4: Adding Suspension to the Lower Housing
  • Rocket is very unstable and turns in the forward direction solely.
  • Do not add suspenstion to Lower Housing.
Document 5: Increasing Rocket Length
  • To maintain the ability to keep the rocket upright, More rockets and other weight had to be shifted down as low as possible. Since the distance of the escape pod to the Lower Housing Rockets had increased, the balance had to be shifted significantly.
  • The rocket became even more difficult to keep upright, but a change in the Upper Housing Flaps managed to allow the rocket, with some manual control, to stay upright and remain fully re-usable.

@ManneHula

If your PC cannot handle a simple plane, best not to use this.

Isnt this gonna lag alot? I mean yes awesome rocket seams legit but i got a crappy pc and when i spawn a simple plane i get down to 20 fps what about a massive rocket? 2 fps?

Retracting the plan on making a complete three peice rocket, too many peices, game cannot handle the stress load. Will attempt to create main rocket body seperate from the boosters.

@sharuk - Thank you, I'll be working on the rocket until it reaches a third stage.

For everyone else, I am constantly updating the description to simplify or clarify controls.
