Steam Engines

Description
Medieval Engineers enters a new age with these steam engines

The mod adds a small and large physical steam engine and a large steam engine that provides mechanical power.

New: Huge steam engine

Physical steam engines:
These work like the rotor block, you can attach anything you want to it and it will provide torque.
You can use the front connection or double side connection variants. You can attach multiple side connected engines together for more power

Mechanical steam engine:
This engine works the same except providing mechanical power to power your machines like the sawmill

How to use the engines:
The engines require fuel (charcoal) and lubrication (oil). You turn the engine on and the temperature will increase. Running the engine when the temperature is not optimal will give you less torque or mechanical power.
You can throttle the engine manual or using a remote rope connection, which you can control with keybindings (check keybindings under the SteamEngine category).
The faster the engine spins the more oil is consumed, when you run out the engine will emit darker smoke and it will slowly lose power. If you do not need a lot of power you can choose to run with no oil. Fuel consumption is always the same.

The engines are added to the same research as the mechanical blocks

Yes, there's a bunch of different ones in different colors and a creative one. If they're not showing up the mod may not be loading right for you. Are you using Community Edition?

It would help greatly to know where to place what and how to manage inventories.

you used to be able to just add fuel and oil and it worked now it seem i need a whole room of tanks machines and pipes just to do the same thing

all my pipes are just falling to the floor

Is there a guide to this thing yet? I miss not having to be an actual engineer to figure out mods.

You can attach them anywhere, but you should watch the video on how to use pipes that's attached to the mod
