SWI-Welder Range 2 (No Longer Supported)

Description
An update to the original SWI - Welder https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=871940940 This is only three large blocks extra range, which is enough to help with deformed blocks without over powering the welder. I have included a small ship version as well. See description below for specific welder range. DX11 only

It has a slightly roughed up look, to bring the visuals in line with a welder that has seen some use. This is not a replacement for the stock in-game Welders those will still be available. This will give you a choice, if you do a lot of ship building/repairs these could come in handly. Look for the "Retro" label in the block menu. Or in the SWI block group.

The model and all other creative aspect are from the KSH, I have just repurposed the elements that are available within the game. Tremedous Credit to Shaostoul, Digi, and Harag (SE Tool for Blender) for their help in showing me how to make this work.

Looks like this has died, no support for it and the welder only has a 1 range now

So I just gave this a shot. It doesn't seem the retro units have any greater range than the vanilla welders do. Maybe the last update did something to it?

Aight, thanks! :)

@MurlocJoe - no it's the model itself. You have to create a new model to change the size of the welding area.

Heya man, just curious on if it is the MountPoint lines in the mod that offsets the originpoint for the "area of effect sphere" ?

DS is not my area of expertise, but these welder share cube block Type reference of ShipWelder. That is most likely what you are looking for. If that is not what you need you can source the CubBlock.sbc of the mod for more details such as sub type id's

Hey dude, first of all: awesome mod.

I have a dedicated server, and I would limit the amount of Retro Welder blocks that each person can build.

Usually we would use something like:

<item>
<Key> Assembler </ Key>
<Value> 2 </ Value>
</ item>

But what would KEY be to Retro Welder? :squirtooh:

You can place it to right place in the G-menu? (Block tools)
