Description
A ragdoll of the HD M26 Pershing and M45 Heavy Tank as they appear in World of Tanks.

This took longer than I wanted too, mostly due to the convoluted suspension design that made rigging a pain. I originally planned to include the M45 turret from the new model, with the historic cloth mantlet, but this is already very full and rigging that would have been another pain, so I'll leave it for later.

Also we are back to GuP skins I guess.

Contents:
M26 Pershing (T26E3) (normal, hull, turret, intact, destroyed, ragdolled suspension)
M26 Pershing (T26E3) Selection University (normal, hull, turret, intact, destroyed, ragdolled suspension)
M45 Heavy Tank (T26E2) (normal, hull, turret, intact, destroyed, ragdolled suspension)

M26 Pershing (T26E3)

The true successor of the venerable M4 tank line, the M26 was the result of years of work on a project that was fought back by many within the army itself. Featuring a low hull and a large, heavily armored turret with a 90mm gun, the Pershing was initially classified as a heavy tank, but reclassified as a medium later on. It's combination of armor and firepower made it highly successful against German vehicles despite it's lack of manouverability. While still inferior to the German Panther during WW2, it outmatched the Soviet T-34-85 during the Korean War. The Pershing's lack of manouverability became a problem on Korean terrain, resulting in the creation of a more manouverable follow up in the shape of the M46 Patton.

M45 Heavy Tank (T26E2)

A howitzer tank variant of the M26 Pershing, developed to replace the M4A3(105). It featured a redesigned turret to accomodate the howitzer, a stabilizer and a thicker gun mantlet to take advantage of the lighter weight of the howitzer compared to the 90mm gun. Originally intended to be produced in greater numbers than the M26, it was given very low priority, with only 185 vehicles produced by the end of the war. They only saw combat in the Korean war.

Part of that was because of the army's Tank Destroyer Doctrine slowing everything down. And while it was a match for Panther's, the Tiger II's could destroy it, to the point where the T26E4 prototype that was sent to Europe had additional armor welded to it (salvaged from destroyed Panther tanks) in order to increase it's survivability.

Also the soviet equivalent of this was the T-44, not the T-34-85.

the thing about this tank is because this tank had a reputation of being TOO LATE!, it was deployed when the second world war was coming to an end in europe, could have been a match for a tiger or panther, and arrived in korea when the vast majority of north korea's tanks were destroyed so leaving few for it to fight, and it could've penetrated a soviet T-34 tank if the cold war went HOT!
