Bloodlines: Rare Vampires

Description
This mod removes regular Vampire Lord and Strigoi ghoul kings generals from the recruitment pool, encouraging you to use Master Necromancers until you decide to use your own powerful legendary lords and Bloodline vampires.

Please don’t forget to

Context:
Vampires capable of leading an army are rare, powerful creatures who notoriously vie against one another for dominance. As such, I was never too happy with the hordes of armies being led by these vampire lords, whilst the inferior (but subservient) master necromancers sat in the general pool gathering dust. With the Bloodline mechanic introduced with Vampire Coast, I realised there was a quick way to overcome my own issue.

The solution:
By removing the ability for Vampire Count factions to recruit regular vampire lords, these factions must utilise the mortal necromancers to lead their armies and act as the vanguard for the aristocracy of the night until the more powerful vampires can be awakened.

Vampire Counting:
For those worried that their Vampire Vount playthrough may be lacking in vampires, fear not! With the Bloodline mechanic you have access to the following vampires (potentially).
Vlad
Isabella
Manfred
Red Duke
3 Strigoi Bloodlines
3 Von Carstein Bloodlines
3 Blood Dragon Bloodlines
3 Lahmian Bloodlines
3 Nekrach Bloodlines.
That’s a total of 19 VERY powerful Vampiric Lords to lead the armies of the night.

This affects all factions, player or AI. It doesn't ruin them though - they are more than capable of recruiting master necromancers :)

Does it affect the AI as well, or just we players?

This Mod has been ported to game 3 :)

When VC lords are killed in battle, the army on the campaign map is represented by a Dark Elf lord until the dead lord is replaced. Minor bug since they don't actually receive a DE lord, it just looks like they do.

Loving the mod; solves the post-Bloodlines MC redundancy issue.

I can echo that something's up with the garrison lord portraits - when I fight VC garrisons, occasionally I see a Warriors of Chaos Lord as the portrait for the garrison commander (not sure if a model appears during real-time battles). So, not game breaking, but pretty immersion-breaking!

I wonder if this is because the game relies on the (standard, non-Bloodline) Vampire Lord portrait files to occasionally populate the character portrait for garrison commanders when the player assaults a VC garrison. If this mod removes them completely, does the game default to a WoC Lord portrait when it has a missing portrait file for a faction? The female Vampire Hero portraits appear fine, presumably because the mod doesn't touch VC Heroes.

I'm not familiar with WH2's file structure, so could be completely wrong on this count. But, if this minor portrait issue could be verified and addressed that would be *chef's kiss*.

does this affect the vampire AI? if so it might be a big nerf for AI vampires and I've noticed they get rolled very quickly in my games

@Dissolution It worked on my SFO campaign. Source, I was using it for my recent Von Carstein playthrough on the latest SFO build and had absolutely no problems.

This is a super neat mod, really unbloats the roster. Makes decisions more meaningful.
Any ideas if this is compatible with SFO?
