Spawning without even a backpack, let alone any fuel for it, would be perfect. Totally forgot about the filter, good point!
Sir/Ma'am, I think you've hit the nail on the head.
Presumably this still gives the player a suit and backpack? I'm thinking of removing EVERYTHING except the helmet and suit, the two canisters (with 500kpa O2) and a half charged small battery.
This will force the person who 'died' to go get inside and suited up.. and it enforces a cost to dying. This will stop people jetpacking everywhere like they're invincible because death is not just meaningless, but a source of materials and batteries.
