THANKS! This is the best way to play Escape, unfortunately you won't be able to get the Steam time log/interface. I also highly recommend using a controller and mapping the keys to your pleasure.

If you get the "Escape from Monkey Island registry Keys not found" error, try moving the EMI launcher exe file to your emi steam installation folder and run it from there, that seems to fix it, for me at least.

If you got an error like could not initialize youır hardware whatever you tried. Just unlplug your third monitor. It will fix your every problem...

I thought this comment was a joke, until I tried it (leaving only my main monitor on) and it WORKED! Thanks @Phenom

The Steam installer doesn't set up registry keys or use a CD, so this doesn't work.

Use this method instead, no launcher needed. Playtime will still be logged and the program can also run it in window mode if you want.

I download the file but when I launch it, I got a popup Warning "Escape From Monkey Island registry keys not found. The launcher will not function correctly without these registry keys. The easiest way to fix this is to re-install the game".

I reinstall the game throught Steam but the error still appear. And same problem when I try to update the game to 1.1, it seem to doesn't find the folder in Steam.

If someone have an idea ...

One issue I have with this is that the Patched file always asks for admin privileges even after I choose 'run as admin' in its properties.
As such I can't get steam overlay nor steam controller config applied to it. What's a workaround for this?
