Description
In real life, attack helicopters are used as airborn snipers. They have rockets and guns that can shoot targets from long distances away. They rarely ever get within effective firing range of their targets (or at least while traveling at slow speeds), and for good reason. One RPG costing around 100 dollars can erase a multi-million dollar helicopter from the skies. They are purely meant for seek-and-destroy missions.

That's where the Tsandela differs.

The Tsandela (pronounced "sawn del ah") is an attack helicopter that is built to get right up close and personal with her targets. She is surrounded in a layer of Hawkeye armor blocks that make convention ordinance unable to penetrate into her components. Sloped armor and specified engineering make her resistant to explosives. Excess lift and backup turbines keep her in the skies even after she's been badly wounded. Honestly, most of the time you don't even need shields when flying the Tsandela. But if you do happen to have a charger laying about, charging up the Tsandela will power effectively-placed shields and repair bubbles that allow the Tsandela to do her normal combat routine without suffering a single scratch. The battery life of the Tsandela is also quite impressive for a craft her size and durability.

Of course, there is always a downside to having amazing statistics in one category of classification, and the Tsandela's is her speed. What, you thought I was going to say her firepower? The Venture cannons on the side are able to pound anything below and to the front of the Tsandela, and her minigun supplies constant damage to whatever you are targeting. The sextuplet of cruise missiles are able to pound away at any heavy shields the Tsandela may encounter and also give her a very long range. Any small techs are doomed. Any medium techs are doomed. And any large techs are doomed if you wait a minute or two.

Some impressive feats of the Tsandela are:
-Survivng a direct volley of megaton cannons
-Beating a tech that had ~20 venture Oozees firing on it when it's shields were down and it's cruise missiles were destroyed
-Survivng the "rain of doom" turret from the R&D and the one next to it (with no shields) and still being able to fly perfectly fine (demonstrated in the 3rd and 4th slideshow pics)
-Survivng TWO cruise missile volleys from the missile turret from the R&D and surviving (with no shields)
-Flipping off of the helipad of my aircraft carrier, then flipping off of the elevator below it and managing to land upright (it's in the video in the slideshow)

I hope you enjoy the Tsandela, and may she serve you as well as she has me!

yes, the unstable ruins the physics for any helicopters. try it out in the stable

Seems like the unstable's rotational physics bug really wrecked the stability of this one. Eek. (Your other recent heli was fine though.)
