Description
This is my attempt to make a Frantic livery. I know other people have already made it, but Matty wanted me to make this livery. Basically I asked him if there's any particular liveries he wanted to see me or other creators make. His response was - and I quote - "I wanna see a Frantic Livery :P." I asked him why he wanted me to make a livery that's already been made. He went on to say - and I quote again - "I want to see what you can do :P. I want something really cool that's all. Also, I couldn't think of anything else XD."

So then I went into Photoshop and whipped up my version of a Frantic engine in around two hours. Matty has since used it in two of his videos:

The number carried by my version is 5419, which is that of a real-life DX. This was one of the engines I saw when I was on holiday in the South Island. On a Saturday morning we were driving north from Timaru to Christchurch, after spending the night in Timaru. Between Dunsandel and Bankside - north of Ashburton, we came across a train that was heading south. The locomotives hauling said train were DXB's 5143, 5166 and DXC 5419. Unsurprisingly we turned around and gave chase, and caught up with the trio just south of Raikaia. During the race, we were listening to a radio station called The Sound. One of the songs they played at the time was Young Years by Dragon.

That was actually the 2nd time I had seen DXC 5419, the first time was in Hawkes Bay back in January 2017. On that day, 5419 was running with DL 9285. The motel we were staying in overlooked the railway, and I was able to see lots of trains out the window. Anyway, later in the day I was coming back to Napier - from Hastings - and stopped at Awatoto after noticing that DL 9469 was in the crossing loop. We waited a while, and along came DL 9285 and DXC 5419 with a train bound for Palmerston North. After the DL+DXC pair went by, DL 9469 got underway for the rest of her trip to Napier's Ahuriri Yard. DXC's are almost exclusively used in the South Island, so seeing one north of Wellington was quite a treat!
