Description
NO MODS | DLC REQUIRED | SCRIPTS | MINOR SUBGRIDS | SURVIVAL READY

The Type-6 "Anchohead" Planetary Security Outpost.
HUD ID: (T-6 SECPST)

As EHI raced to prospect mining claims across an increasing number of worlds, the need for an all-in-one security outpost that could be quickly fabricated became clear. Such an outpost had to be fully self-sufficient while fully supporting the needs of a standard security team and their equipment. EHI's designers took stock of the numerous and varied outposts that had been created in-situ across a dozen worlds by field engineers, and composed a list of elements that would meet the ideal they envisioned.

From this list, seven competing designs were drafted: Types one through seven. Of these the Type-6 "Anchorhead" proved to be the most well-rounded solution with the fewest tradeoffs, and was selected as the standard for EHI's regional security outposts.

Features include small-scale refining and manufacturing capability, berthing for up to 12 crewman plus commander, and docking connections for four aircraft plus two ground vehicles.

Author's Note:
This ships has two subgrids that consist of a conveyor corner block and a connector attached to the end of the ground vehicle loading docking pistons. This platform can still be easily built via projector.
Although not intended as a trade base, I've greatly expanded this oupost's amenities to allow it to function as one if the need arises. This outpost was created to be something along the lines of the old USCG light towers.

That would be amazing. By no means do I think this is a bad base. You've done an amazing job with the layout, paint scheme, designs, and features. I just wish there was an easy way to swap the light armor for heavy and it would be great for withstanding attacks. As it is right now it just melts when getting shot.

I've been meaning to rebuild this thing from the ground up with a better layout, better armor, and better weaponry. I'll get to it someday.

My only wish is that it was made out of heavy armor. It's been really hard to find a solid and useful station.

Curious - Some of the cockpits reference the ULI-515 - Is that ship meant to be able to move this outpost?

Cool, thanks

Just an elbow conveyor and a connector on each piston, so that it can go up and down to mate with variously tall vehicles.

Quick question - building this in my world now via projector - it says there are multiple grids - what is attached via pistons/rotors, so I can know what would go there (as obviously the projector will not build anything past those)?

Not presently. If that's something people are interested in I could look into it.
