Restraints

Description
Adds ability to restrain prisoners and colonists from moving. A more humane version of cutting off both legs.

To restraint or free a pawn, select another pawn and right click the one you want to restrain/free.

Restraining costs 1 piece of steel and can be applied to your own colonists (that aren't in a mental break) or prisoners.

Restraining a pawn that isn't already downed has a high chance to have them go berserk.

Restraining will apply a -35 moodlet while restrained, and -30 for 5 days after removing the restraitns.

As of Rimworld 1.6 - No dependencies are required

Rimworld 1.4 / 1.5 - Requires Harmony - https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/workshop/filedetails/?id=2009463077

Earlier versions require HugsLib - https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/workshop/filedetails/?id=818773962

You can edit the xml files and change it to whatever you want

is there a way to change the mood penalty? I restrain people in the hospital in real life, it makes them less likely to do something stupid next time and more cooperative in the meantime, not make them go berserk because they have a huge negative mood penalty, or less likely to cooperate with whoever is talking to them.

id love an order for this so i could mass select new prisoners and tell me wardens to run around restraining them

Yep error was on my end. Apologies. Great mods the both of you.

I spoke with Spaxxow on my mod page's comments. My mod patches the hediff and makes the changes. Was a misunderstanding of function.

I haven't looked at what handcuffs is doing, but this mod should give a restrained pawn -1000 movement hediff, do you see that on the pawn?

If it's there but they are somehow not immobilised from that - then something is seriously broken.

I'm experiencing an issue with restraints not functioning correctly. Even though the health tab shows pawns as handcuffed/restrained, they aren't actually immobilized.

I'm using both Restraints and +Handcuffs, so I'm posting this in both mod forums for visibility.

I tested the issue outside my main save with the same results. When I removed +Handcuffs and tested under identical conditions, restraints worked as expected. Re-adding +Handcuffs caused the issue to return.

This suggests the problem lies with the +Handcuffs mod.

@Inked. - i don't mind, you can upload it

Hey bdew! As part of an effort to expand my Rimworld knowledge capabilities, I've created a harmony patch that makes it so this mod requires a set of handcuffs - a new item I created - in order to restrain pawns. It also has some extra logic so if you have your pawns carry handcuffs in their inventory, they will use them first before attempting to find them on the map.

I was wondering if I had your blessing to upload my sub-mod to the steam workshop?
