Charlemagne, leader of the Carolingian Empire, leads ALSO France as an alternative for Catherine de Medicis.

Leader Trait:

Missi Dominici: Holy Site district buildings provide Gold equivalent to their Faith output. Charlemagne can build the Paladin Unique Unit (Knight replacement).

Agenda:

Carolingian Marches: Dislikes civilizations that have cities close to his borders and will try to conquer them. Likes civilizations that are not his neighbors.

The capital city is Aix-la-Chapelle.
Some city names have been replaced.

Both version are compatible! Much like with Eleanor, both Charlemagnes are marked as being the same leader so they can't be placed in the same game.

The Leader is not animated.

I closed the comments for this mod because I was sick of reading these sterile debates about Charlemagne's nationality. Don't waste your time giving lessons to everyone unnecessarily: we all know that France and Germany did not exist as such at the time of Charlemagne.
