Description
The original Tiger Mask (Satoru Sayama) is a legendary junior heavyweight who started his NJPW career in 1976, originally under his own name and Sammy Lee.

After an excursion, Sayama returned to NJPW as Tiger Mask, an anime character. A rivalry with Dynamite Kid helped legitimize the gimmick and gain popularity with fans.

While working for NJPW, Tiger Mask captured the NWA World Junior Heavyweight Championship and thr WWF Junior Heayweight Championship, each twice. He would capture the WWF Junior Heavyweight title a third time while working for CMLL, then known as EMLL.
