Dynamite Kid

Dynamite Kid, one half of the British Bulldogs tag team with Davey Boy Smith and a legendary junior heavyweight on his own, was far ahead of his time, bringing athleticism and intensity while blending styles from around the world. Dynamite Kid influence countless wrestlers with his in-ring work, and laid a template followed by smaller wrestlers and cruiserweights for years.

The British-born Dynamite made his way to Canada to wrestler for Stampede Wrestling in the late 70's before on to several tours of Japan. His matches and rivalry with the original Tiger Mask in the early 80's especially stand out from Dynamite's time in Japan.

Along with Davey Boy Smith, Dynamite Kid joined the WWF in 1984 and the team feuded with The Hart Foundation. The team won the Tag Titles in 1986 at WrestleMania II.

Injuries began to mount up, and after several backstage incidents, Dynamite left WWF in 1988.

The Bulldogs returned to Stampede and Dynamite wrestled off and on in Japan before retiring in 1991. Drug use, both steriod and recreational, combined with injuries, had caught up with Dynamite. He made several appearances post-retiremnt, but mostly in non-wrestling roles.
