Wilderness Zeds

Description
This is a simple mod that I whipped up, since PZ at the moment (as far as I can tell) does not have travelling hordes or single zombies etc... that cross the map areas (or specifically across map cells). So you could hole up somewhere in the wilderness, your own base or a cabin and not be bothered again. This mod 's aim is to change that a little bit.

This mod will have extra zeds, and groups of zeds across the whole map, including wilderness areas. They will be rarer and more sporadic than in populated areas like towns. This will make the wilderness areas have more risk, especially in dense tree areas where you will have more chance of walking into an unseen zed. Shooting a gun or making a noise in the wilderness will attract nearby zeds if there are any.

Single zeds get encountered most likely, then small groups (2->4 zeds), then larger groups (5-15), with very occasionally hordes (15->115), and more rarely large hordes (115 -> 1115 zeds).

UPDATE:
Added a new mod called Wilderness Zeds Rarer, which has a rarer chance to spawn Zeds than Wilderness Zeds main mod.



These zeds dont respawn.

I am still playing about with the randomness/rarity.

Works in SP & MP.

**So I just realized that if you have a base they can potentially spawn in the base (it will only happen once). I do a check on if the spawn tile is part of a building or not, which should hopefully help a bit. But... the extra zeds do not respawn, so once cleared they will not come back in that same area, unless others come in from surrounding wilderness areas. This mod works best when starting a new game**

It also lets you change the horde options in different ways, etc (cuz I think that as this mod's made in 2019, it could be broken by now, idk tho)

Dunno if this one works, but you could've tried wandering zombies, as I'm sure it works on the latest build

Does this mod still work? I love playing wilderness runs, and it would be nice to have zeds in the forest areas as well.

If only there was a mod that, instead of spawning zombies inside houses and on streets in cities, respawned zombies at the edges of the map at random spots and sent them towards the cities

seems to be functional in latest IWBMS build
the 115-1115 zombie hordes are a bit too much for the game to handle though, and unless you are playing with a very high zombie count you probably don't want to encounter such large hordes anyway
If I knew how to lower the upper bound for the large hordes (i.e. 115-345 instead of 115-1115) then I would be using this mod
