Description
Nananea's Custom Bladestaff, used by the Skull Ninja herself!

Bladestaff changes include:
  • Custom texture and icon!
  • Shield and Speed upgrades are included! Only the Shield particle will show up.
  • Shield upgrade damage reduction increased from 50% to 75%!
  • Speed upgrade increased to 175% movement speed!
  • Life + Mana on Hit! 2 life, 0.5 mana per hit above 50% life; and 10 life, 5 mana per hit below 50% life.
  • Passive Stun and Freeze resist from Freedom Trinket!
  • Auto-fire on Primary attack!
  • Slightly increased attack speed.
  • Primary attack melee arc increased from 65° frontal to 220° frontal to match animation.
  • Scaling, stacking damage buff while under 50% health! Risk your life for increased damage!
  • Secondary attack is much like the Wind Belt primary with a smaller cone and less range.
All these abilities may seem over-powered, but it actually makes for a viable tanking weapon. This is mainly designed for Endless mode; just be careful, you can't stay in melee forever!

Changelog
  • 1.06 - 7/22/2013 - Continued fiddling (it's my main weapon after all!). Increased secondary mana cost by 100%...with the mana on hit it felt far too spammable. Added a scaling (15%), stacking, 2 second damage buff while under 50% hp.
  • 1.05 - 7/21/2013 - Due to issues with the secondary attack, it has been reworked to be much like the Wind Belt. The heal for using it has been reduced as well as the mana cost to use it. I feel like it fits my personality more and is MUCH more useful on the weapon.
  • 1.04 - 7/19/2013 - Added custom texture, icon, and a particle to give it a personal flair (it's my staff after all!)
  • 1.03 - 7/17/2013 - More small tweaks. Removed the need to upgrade the staff, everything is built in now! Added mana on hit. Increased mana cost of secondary and decreased it's heal to 40. Removed speed buff particle.
  • 1.02 - 7/16/2013 - Fixed the passive stun and freeze resist. Tweaked the physics for Heavy and Very Heavy mobs to be a random chance instead of fixed due to balance issues.
  • 1.01 - 7/14/2013 - Reduced damage. Increased life on hit slightly. Changed secondary attack to 360° arc, high velocity push, with low damage that will knock away all monsters. Changed primary melee to 220° arc.

I just played the game again for the first time in a while. Thank you for what you've added to the Orcs Must Die experience. It's people like you that make it a better hobby.

They added lifesteal to the Bladestaff in Orcs Must Die! 3! Mission accomplished!

@Pathere41 Not a bug about the run speed. Also the wind belt like effects are pretty different and you can't grab enemies with the staff :warmage:

I dont use wind belt anymore since the secondary attack of the Skull Ninja's bladestaff just contain BOTH primary and secondary attack of wind belt :D

Bringing the bladestaff just make the character run faster permanently, with or without switch to it D: Is that a bug?
