Warp-capable Carrier and Light Cargo CV
Level 10
Intened to be an affordable CV for hauling around mining-HV's and storage for mined ore.

Update Dec. 25: Figured out how to re-texture cargo extensions, gave it an overhaul to retexture them and added quite a few more to increase cargo capacity. The 'truckbed' area is now built of cargo extensions. (new cargo capacity listed below). Updated pictures.


No gravity generator.
Built of cardboard blocks (carbon) - not intened for any combat.
No constructor - intened to haul ore or ingots that are refined in a mining HV back to a base, or haul loot from a pacified POI.

Oxygenated Interior, O2 Fill station, med station, armor locker, 1 passenger seat, Fridge, and a Bed included.

3 Cargoholds:
Container controller 1 (interior): 203,875L (SU)
Container controller 2 (rear): 169,250L
Container controller 3 (rear): 169,250L
Total general cargo storage: 542,375L

warning: depending on what you are hauling it could be very easy to overload and be unable to take off. This has about 4G lift accel, allowing it to carry 3x it's weight in 1G. I've tested it with 1,200tons additional mass (2 CV XL thrusters) and it can just barely climb using forward and up at the same time. More down-pointing small CV thrusters can be added, I've marked places for two more with a - (minus / hyphen) sign in the back of the 'bed' area. Two more of them should give around 8G total lift.

(if using old style slot-based storage system this has 5x 64 slot containers, although many more can be added)

1 Retractable minigun (for defence from drones)
7 Retractable sentry guns (for defence from hostile ground critters)

Boarding ramp in interior for quick exiting. This can also be used to send the player drone out for mining while staying inside the ship.
Rear ramps automatic on sensor, includes a switch to disable the sensor.
Small lights on switches in control panel.

Fairly lightweight, uses a minimal amount of the smallest thrusters to keep the neodymium costs down.
Also fairly fuel efficient - 2.5hrs hovering in 1G, ~18hrs parked w/ turrets on.
This isn't a full mobile base type CV however, more like a truck with some extra features.

One of the best ships in the workshop. Cheap, with a large cargo area and a platform for small ships and good design.
However, I would immediately double the capacity of the oxygen tank and add a shower cabin.

@Bravecat Still a ton better than the last 'minisled' he had, which was smaller, granted, but i think not quite as good.. both are meant to be quick cheap ways to get miners to the stars, i guess he switched to this just because miners haveta be bigger/longer now that they need to carry a ton of storage with them

started using this thing before I realized it was made from cardboard and tissue paper with enough fuel storage to putter around a planet for 20 minutes each refill. Boy did it get me around the whole solar system to find ideal locations and unlock planets but ill be damned if I didnt turn it into swiss cheese at least twice while carrying a hilariously large combat HV and a miner. Cool design, super duper cheap, I feel like making a similar design but more all-purpose and beefier than a stuffed chipotle burrito

Looks like it had an issue with the ramps on the rear, they were showing as ramps for small vessels in prefabinfo console command. I just changed them to CV type (and fixed some textures) and updated the workshop item.

I don't know why, but when i went to check what i needed to build this, suddenly my game said it had illegal blocks or was built from the wrong version(not using experimental)

Great design. I'm using it on survive, added a few extra thrusters (with its own switch) to carry my minning hover, removed the turret and added 2 utility turrets - real nice to space operations.

I quite like this design. Simple, but a nice utility vessel to use as a transport in many aspects. Well thought out design. Awesome job.

cargo extenders only affect volume,not storage slots, also theyre useless to anyone not using volume (me, fuck that lol)
