BFG/40K Imperial Battleship Kit

In 1 collection by OctoBooze
Warhammer 40K low pcu Battlefleet Gothic ships and stations
29 items
Description
A sprue containing all the pieces you need to assemble any of the canon battleship variants. This Kit is intended for those who don't want to clutter up their subscription list with each individual ship :)

These are true to scale with my Battlefleet Gothic Imperial Cruiser models
Kit here! https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1612080052

Assembly is easy, each Battleship is comprised of engine cover shields, a bridge, a ventral spire, 3x armament slots and the almighty Prow. Each piece has a red block which connects to another red block on a corresponding place, making copy/paste snap right into correct place easily. Just remove any white sprue and you're good to go.

Feel free to vary the upper and lower bridges and engine covers as you wish. Loadouts as they appear in the manual, and the assemblies required are as follows:

Emperor Class Battleship:
Smaller engine covers + 2x ordnance bay + weapons battery + sensor array Prow.

Retribution Class Battleship
Larger engine covers + 3x weapons battery + Torpedo Prow

Apocalypse Class Battleship:
3x Lance batteries + the concave type prow (not sure what this is named as)

Oberon Class battleship:
Ordnance bay + Lance Battery + weapons battery + any non-torp prow.

!!!!HOX!!!!
There are no shield mods included, I might get around to figuring out those one day but for now if you want them, you need to add them yourself.

As you can expect from an all heavy armor build, it's morbidly sluggish. And as I wish to retain the original miniature model looks I don't want to start cluttering the ship up with random engines out of every orifice imaginable. It is what it is...

Enjoy! :)

@Unsanctioned Goof simply remove the blocks connecting the parts to the sprue, then press crtl+c at the block of the part you want to connect to the other part, then past it in and BOOM! they are not part of the same grid :)

I don't want to sound like an idiot but how do you "snap" the parts together?

Internal thrust arrays are what I usually use, however since I'm going for low PCU with these using a lot of smaller ones is detrimental. Larger ones shine through the hull even if it doesn't damage it :/

regarding your sluggishness problem, id recommend tiered thrusters, or if you want to stay vanilla maybe you can make inside thrust chambers not visible from outside. i believe they need 4 or 5 blocks of clearance to not damage anything
