Brock Lesnar (2004)

Description
After losing the WWE Championship to Kurt Angle at Vengeance (in a match that also involved The Big Show), something inside Brock Lesnar changed. The friendly rivalry that spurred the duo on since Angle's return from neck surgery turned into jealousy, and it came to a head two weeks later, in a steel cage match pitting Brock Lesnar against the owner of WWE, Vince McMahon, with special guest referee Kurt Angle, where, shockingly, the duo revealed their ruse to the Olympic Hero, as Brock Lesnar senselessly beat up Kurt Angle.

Forgoing his amateur-style mat-wrestling skills, the new, "improved", vicious Brock Lesnar turned to a more aggressive, almost animalistic moveset, utilizing headbutts, steel chairs, bringing back the 'F5 to the steel pole', and even debuted a new finisher in December, the "Brock Lock". Lesnar would regularly take his aggression out on weaker wrestlers, whether it be chucking a gagged (and wheelchair bound) Zach Gowen down a flight of stairs, or beating Brian 'Spanky' Kendrick to a bloody pulp. It would be this attitude that would see him capture his third, and final, WWE Championship title, facing off against Kurt Angle in a 60 minute iron-man match on Smackdown!, and which would see him defend the title in excellent bouts against the likes of Chris Benoit, Hardcore Holly (who was out to get revenge following a year-long injury after a botched powerbomb by Lesnar) and the Undertaker.

This reign would last from September 18, 2003, all the way up until No Way Out, on February 15, 2004, where thanks to a timely inteference by RAW's Bill Goldberg, would see him fall to Eddie Guerrero. The stage was set for a titantic, interbrand clash between Lesnar and Goldberg, at Wrestlemania 20, with the Special Guest Referee being none other than RAW's Sheriff, 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin, with Lesnar being backed by none other than Smackdown GM, Paul Heyman, with Heyman touting Lesnar as 'Smackdown's defender' against the redneck.

Brock Lesnar would leave the WWE after Wrestlemania 20. The match against Goldberg was said to be nothing short of a disaster, with both men leaving the company after Wrestlemania, the Madison Square Garden crowd took it upon themselves to jeer the duo. Losing to Goldberg after a Jackhammer, Lesnar would not be seen for 8 years, having a failed career in the NFL, a run as the IWGP Heavweight Champion in Japan, and revitalizing himself in the world of the UFC, being one of the MMA industry's top draws during those 8 years.
