Everything was working fine back then. If it isn't working anymore than I will not fix it or do any new updates to it. Hope these videos help.
If you want to delete the created environments manually, they can be found in the following folder:
...\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\SteamVR\tools\steamvr_environments\content\steamtours_addons\
Once you've subscribed to both, go to the HomeLoader environment from within VRHome at least once. After that, you should be able to successfully set up the HomeLoader app outside of Steam. The HomeLoader environment also contains a virtual tutorial if you need additional help.
I've had mixed results when preparing the environment while still in VRHome. If it's not showing up, try transitioning to a new environment first, or exiting VRHome and coming back. When you do, it will then show up under a new name with no icon.
Check the names carefully, because even if you have your environments sorted alphabetically, HomeLoader will often give it a default name that is different from the original.
Thank you so much for putting this out there. It seriously needs more exposure. You should consider publishing a guide here on Steam for it in the actual Guides section. Or, with your permission, I'd be happy to post it myself.
That being said, I'm not the most tech-savvy person, and I'm very confused by all these separate links and programs. What would I need to JUST have the ability to walk with an analog stick by default with no extra options, menus, or external programs?
Is subscribing to this Workshop item enough to at least "walk", or do I still need to go outside of Steam to set all this up?
