Description
Calypso's Colored Religion Icons (Civ V BNW)

(BNW Extended): Adds 2 new religions with colored icon art. Requires Civilization V Brave New World and Calypso's Colored Religion Icons (Basic) to use.

This mod continues my project dynamically recoloring the religious icons in Civilization V Gods & Kings and Brave New World. This mod adds 2 new religions, as I had colored my previous icons. If you have not seen my previous religion mods, the collection is linked above.

CCRI (Extended) added religions with colored icons for the base game and Gods & Kings. Similarly, this mod adds a couple for Brave New World.

My ultimate goal has been to provide users with a greater diversity of religions so that civilizations who lack accurate religions could finally make logical, culturally accurate selections. These religions often lacked as clear symbology as today's faiths, and they often did not have distinctive names, which has made for quite a challenge.

This mod affects saved games, but I find that you need to load both (Basic) and (BNW Extended) from the MODS menu and then load your game to make sure that the religions load correctly.

To sum it up, while using this mod, the new religions are:

-Amadhlozi (Zulu)
-Nemesumagu (Shoshone)

A separate discussion on this page is designated for discussing these religions, their icons, and their naming in greater detail. These aren't written in stone and if ideas and suggestions come up that I like and seem rational, I'm open to changing icons or names around.

My color palette and designs were inspired by reference photos, the religion icons from Civ IV, and the religion pips from Empire Total War.

This mod requires Calypso's Colored Religion Icons (Basic) and should be compatible with most other mods, except those that also recolor religious icons (such as Toft's Colored Religions Mod). While this mod will work with others that add religions, it will of course not recolor them, so expect the game to then have an odd mix of colored and uncolored icons (if, for example, using Tomatekh's Historical Religion mods).

Calypso's Colored Religion Icons (BNW Extended) is English and German language compatible. I don't know Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, or Russian, but if you do and you would like to help translate religion names and Civilopedia pages, I have a separate discussion set up for that. Rest assured, you will certainly be credited.

Thanks to Lukas for providing the German translation!

If you enjoy Lex's "Civ Names by Policy" mod as much as I do, you'll be happy to know that I've updated my religion mods to include adjective forms of my added religions.

I knew something was wrong when I saw the message "Celtic County is now known as Celtic TXT_KEY_RELIGION_DRUIDISM_ADJ Order". Now names will display correctly, e.g "Celtic Druidic Order". (Mind that I added Druidism not in this mod, but one of my others).

Some of the names are a bit rough, since they are adjective of words that I had extrapolated from other phrases, often in other languages. They seem euphonic though.

This mod now supports German language! If you are playing Civ on a German install and find that the religion naming and civilopedia pages for these 2 religions appear correctly in German, I'd really appreciate the heads up.
