This mod makes armour crafting SO MUCH easier. No more rooms filled with dozens of chests that need sorting through.

Ah that makes sense now and yeah gating it behind a bit of research is fine.

Well this mod is great if you're just buying houses in cities and not base-building yet, since you don't have much room to build lots of storage chests. It's probably all the thievery I'm doing that fills up my storage chests too quickly. :steamsad:

I appreciate your input. I had indeed adjusted the vanilla containers before, but I believe that some of the vendors were using those container settings for their own inventory windows, which is what caused them to blow out like that. The fix was to make the wider storage a separate item, and gating it behind research made sense because i didn't change the footprint of the items. As far as resolutions go, I run 1080p myself, so I'll adjust it to fit on 1080. I am aware of the height problem, which is why i didn't change it. I just hadn't thought to test them with animals.

btw I also tried a different mod that changes width on vanilla chests to 24x wide but it also increased height which ends up pushing the top part of the inventories off-screen, including the item details pop-up when that shows up when you mouse-over items. That's even more problematic, just an fyi in case you were thinking of changing height. :)

Perhaps a separate version for 1080p along with a version for larger resolutions is an idea? Because I can totally understand it would be much better to have larger inventories in both height and width on 1440p and higher.

That was the mechanical shop in Stoat (Desert area), named a " UC Construction Trader". But I just checked it and the shops seems to be normal width again now including that one.

Also I just now realize this mod adds research for double width armor/weapon containers only, not all containers (my bad). But for me it was applied to the vanilla armor/weapon containers before. I guess that was fixed along with shops issue, but that's why I thought the vanilla general chest was also supposed to be bigger.

With v3 the vanilla chests are all normal size again. This time I've researched 'bigger gear storage' to check the wide ones and those are indeed bigger. Though at 36x wide it has the same thing happening with a Garru that it pushes it slightly off-screen. It's a minor issue but 34x wide would be the maximum I believe on 1080p monitors and not have anything get pushed off-screen. https://imgur.com/Ijb10gW

The vendor issue should be fixed now with version 3. Let me know if you have further issues with it.

When you say didn't change generic/misc storage, do you mean they remain vanilla, or they did not revert from version 1 back to vanilla? The storage window was never resized, only stacking modifiers, so you won't see any change with window sizes.

Thanks, I'll see about a fix. I noticed a couple of vendors in my game doing the same thing, but not all of them. Do you recall what vendor that was? Either way I have some ideas and should have a fix by today's end.

This also seems to change the size of store inventories, which is less than ideal because at 1080p it's wider than the screen when shopping with your Garru beasties. See https://imgur.com/a/kz1EFbx -Also didn't change generic/misc storage boxes. Anyway I think 4x is far too big in width to be practical on 1080p, but perhaps this would be fine on higher resolutions though.
