Illimat + Crane Wife Expansion

Description
A game created by the Decemberists, lovingly re-created and modernized (and modular too!) in Tabletop Simulator!

"If you've ever enjoyed Hearts, Bridge, Cassino, or Gin, Illimat will feel familiar and unlike anything you've ever played before!

Illimat has the style and flavor of a classic card game, with a dynamic twist. As you play, you combine cards and collect them, trying to gather more cards than your opponents, but Hidden Luminaries and Changing Seasons can alter your plans.

Seasons

Each field (quadrant) has a season, and this determines what actions can be taken in that field. Anything is possible in Summer, but you cannot sow in Autumn (discard), harvest in Winter (pick-up), or stockpile in Spring (add cards). The seasons change with the Illimat turns, creating new opportunities for each player.

Luminaries

Luminaries are hidden cards that can exert influence over a field. You never know what Luminary will appear when you clear a field... will the Rake steal your cards, or will The Maiden negate the power of winter? Luminaries add color and complexity to every game of Illimat." --From the website describing Ilimat, Illimat.com.

Playtime is 15-45 minutes, for 2-4 Players (and even suitable for solo play with the Solitaire Variant, included!)

About this Mod

Cards and Luminaries, the board, and the Illimat were painstakingly digitized and created with excellent visual clarity in mind, to accurately bring to the online world a favorite game amongst friends, so we can play together, and bring new faces to the game of Illimat.

Due to our rookie experience, The Okus Tokens provided a unique challenge as neither of us have any 3D Modeling experience. To overcome this, We've selected a set of 4 Black & White, 4 Color snips of art illustrated by Carson Ellis to stand-in as our Okus Tokens, to keep in-tune thematically with the rest of the game she illustrated.
Due to a wholesome fan contribution (Thanks Chef Rude!), we now have 3D models of the original 6 Okus Tokens! The previous versions are still available in-game if you prefer, for use/viewing pleasure.

The notebook contains the entirety of the rules of play, the descriptions of the luminaries, and irons out any questions you may have about how a particular rule works. As a bonus, We've chosen to include the Solitaire Variant rules in it's own section, for those times when you may not have friends to play with, but want to brush up on skills.

This mod also contains the Crane Wife Expansion, which includes 6 new Luminaries.

****I own none of the content of the images, content, or descriptions of anything included in this mod, I've only provided a way to play online with friends, in much the same way many, many others have re-created monopoly and other board game titles. All credit goes to the appropriate creators Keith Baker, and illustrations/artwork by Carson Ellis.****

Crashes on startup before even finishing loading.

I'm not 100% sure where the background photo came from.

This may sound like an odd question, but is there any way that one of the mod's creators could tell me the name of the location used for the background photo? I could *SWEAR* I've physically been in that church...

@crthomp167 I believe the scripting that's being cooked up isn't going to be mandatory, so you can still continue to play as you wish.

However you make a good point regarding the rules not being super clear on what to set up first, which is why scripting can help newer players get the feel for it.
Regardless, your thoughts will be taken into consideration.

I don't mind keeping the scripting to a minimum. Keeps some of the authenticity of playing. Especially because everyone has their own house rules on how to deal and layout the cards. The instructions were never clear on what should be laid out first so we like to leave it up to the dealer.

I think it's perfect the way it is. Thank you very much.

Yeah, that's going to be a work in progress. I have a few other unrelated projects now, but I do plan to hopefully learn coding enough to be able to make this a reality. The issue is that when the deck is entirely dealt it gets a new "ID" when put back together. There's several creative solutions to this that I've found, but i'm not skilled in coding at all, so it will be a trial and error thing.

There are copies of my work on the workshop, with some attempts to solve this, but they don't work past the first round, and foricbly include the star suits, which for 2 players, isn't ideal.

I will work on it though, thank you for the feedback @Skywalker3880

Such a great game. Some scripting for new round set ups would be a good next upgrade. Something that would ask if you want to use the expansion, see how many people are playing (to add the star suit or not), deal randomized luminaries, seed the fields and deal a starting hand of cards.

Hey Chris. Just gotta click the "Subscribe" button. The game will show up under "Workshop" in the create-a-lobby menu

Hi guys. Thanks so much for creating this! It looks incredible!! I'm new to Tabeltop Simulator and have no idea how to access the game - any help very welcome. Apologies in advance if I shouldn't be posting this here.
