Description
Do you have too much crushed rock sitting around and you're not sure what to do with it? Do you like to customize things and not just spawn and forget? Well maybe this is the answer to your crushed rock surplus.

This is a large stealthlike armored concrete bunker with a "control tower" and a mostly do-it-yourself interior that you can customize to your liking. There is a ton of space in there and it's left to you to decide what to do with it! Make yourself a nice living area or put 50 constructors in it... whatever you want to do. Floor can easily be removed to make space for ore refineries etc.

Features:

  • Two layers of Armored Concrete blocks all over the top and sides. (1 Layer under the solar panels with armored windows over the panels.)
  • A "Control Tower" on top (good place for a repair console) has a nice view.
  • Generator, tanks, and core are in an underground bunker.
  • 29x29 block landing pad handles most CVs under size class 3.
  • Carbon Composite floor makes modification easier. There are also two foundation/support layers under the floor that are intended to be embedded in the ground and are only sparsely populated with blocks.
  • 4 Missile Launchers for drone management. (The turret pyramids also have rooms under them which can be made into entrances/exits if desired.)
  • Sentry guns for keeping wildlife off of the landing pad.
  • Blinky landing pad lights remind you of Blade Runner every time you land!
  • Huge mostly empty 2 block high interior that you can fix up with walls and whatever fancy interior decorating you want.
  • Solar Panels with 2 Capacitors
  • T1 Large Generator, Fuel Tanks, O2 Tanks
  • Enough space in the maintainence area for a T2 large generator if needed. (A large T1 is included.)
  • Wireless connections on each corner for good wireless logistics coverage.
  • Comes with an advanced constructor just for the sake of completeness.

The center of the pad is pretty obvious and is a good place for a repair bay block but this isn't included.

The center of the interior is marked with purple and an X.

The yellow on the ceiling shows the areas under the solar panels. These have 25% less hitpoints than the rest of the ceiling and sides. If this concerns you then add more armor of some sort or just place less critical things there.

Supplying the factory with stacks of Armored Concrete blocks will get the production time down to 1s. Supplying it with just concrete and steel plates will probably get it down to 1s or close to that. So it doesn't take too long to produce this with a little prep work.

Warning: The number of columns on the inside is pretty minimal and for the most part they're placed at the maximum safe spacing for an otherwise unsupported interior like this. Before removing them, place walls and use the Show Structural Integrity option in the Debug tab of the N panel to make sure you're safe to remove them.

Instructions: There is an underground bunker area so you will need to hit PgDn many times to get it buried. Hit PgDn until the brown stripe is fully underground. There are two support/foundation layers under the floor so it's also OK to bury the layer above the brown strip. Use Home and End to move it away and toward you while tweaking placement. Ins and Del rotates.

If you want to access the "maintenance area" (the underground bunker part) you'll need to drill it out which may take 30 minutes or more even with the Epic Drill, but you can use the base without doing this. The ventilator is disabled by default for that area.
