One of the retro games I sorely miss is Streets of SimCity, which, though hilariously buggy, takes a saved map from SimCity 2000 and enables players to drive on it. There are two game modes for that game: racing and car gun fighting.

I was able to build my own tracks with SC2K Urban Renewal Kit and made some pretty good ones, like one that is a rally race with multiple complete laps that went around my entire "city," which is actually more of a national park in the Pacific Northwest, but I was limited with sharp 90-degree turns and 45-degree inclines, not to mention straight tunnels and no bridges that overpass roads.

Now with Cities Skylines, I have more options. My two custom-made intersections called "Raceway Checkpoint Small" and "Raceway Checkpoint Large" have enough space to build one pit stop building of each kind in this collection in between the raceway start and finish line and the two access roads beside it. At first, I thought the overpass was just an ascetic to help mark the exact start/finish line or checkpoint, but realized it serves another purpose by allowing normal traffic to pass over the racetrack and not interfere with the steady flow of the race with either stop lights or danger. The intersection at the beginning, therefore, is not exactly meant for thru traffic, but rather, to serve as an access road to the track.

To joke about the distributor, EA, I decided to include my photoshop image of a Streets of SimCity screenshot with the gaming frame of Need For Speed 2, with the word and logo, "Omega," replaced with the word and logo, "OmegaCo," as I know if anyone would mod a car like you would in Streets of SimCity, it would be OmegaCo!
