Zeus class Destroyer (VAN)

The Zeus class destroyer was a proposed life extention of the Titan class, designed to expand the capabilities of the original spaceframe. However, the project turned into a more extensive refitting of the original frame, as well as expanding the armament onboard. The Zeus class replaced the Titan ships in skirmisher roles, as well as patrol ships in sectors of heavy enemy activity. At the end of the 2100's, the Zeus class of ships were redesignated as Frigate Destroyers; More powerful than a frigate, however they were employed in frigate roles, and were thought of more as frigates than destroyers.
