Boise class Cruiser (VAN)

The Boise class Cruisers were a series of 10 ships, built as the largest ships of the first half of the 2100's. These ships were designed to rapidly expand the Navy after the threat of the rebelling colonies were finally realized as severe enough to warrant a large scale building program. These ships first say combat in the invasion of Tau Sigma IV, in which they virtually destroyed a much larger rebel force of ships, which while underarmored were of equal firepower. These ships would be supplanted by refitted versions, and ultimately the Covenator class Heavy Cruisers.
