Boise-C class Carrier (VAN)

The -C subtype of the Boise class cruiser was a series of two ships; the New Orleans and the Oregon City, that were converted into carrier ships to both test the concept, as well as expand the projection power of the Navy. These ships could carry four fighters, two in each bay, and were regarded as Light Carriers, even though the initial proposal was for a Fleet Carrier.
