R/V Polar Night

Description
The Research Vessel Polar Night is based on a real Swedish research vessel (with a different name). This vessel has a long range with over 80,000 liters of fuel onboard and refueling capabilities, and also includes an oceanographic research suite (with 400m sounding probe, water sampler, and meterology station). An infirmary, dive locker, and crew quarters for seven make this ship highly capable in multi-player as well. A three-seater electric RHIB, recovery crane, and science crane also increase the capability of the Polar Night.

Simple startup!
1. Proceed to engine room
2. Turn on pumps
3. Depress starter until diesel charging motors start
4. Engage port and starboard generators

R/V Polar Night cruises at ~14.5 knots (.80 throttle) all day and night with batteries completely topped off. She can hit upwards of 20 knots for short periods of time, but the generators can't keep pace with the battery drain on the hybrid system for these sprints and so it should be used sparingly.

Future updates may include improved cranes, more data from the sensor probe, and the possibility of "real" side-scan sonar imaging (pending solution of logic problems).

Includes Radar Screen subassembly by Krail and GPS autopilot microcontroller by weeb

Updated 2/28: Added heaters (controlled on the bridge and in the science compartment), arctic gear (main deck entrance), and a ballast system to compensate for lost weight due to fuel burn - should help with stabilization.
Updated 5/18: Added cameras and screens to science area. Side-scan sonar should be possible now from the probe if I can figure out the logic/programming.
