Description
Planet Size Overhaul: Double the Districts for Planet Size

I have always wanted bigger planets yet the only way so far to get them was to increase the graphical size of the planet which resulted in some pretty huge planets in the past. I have searched for a way to get larger planets without the graphical inflation and finally, Paradox has answered me.

This is a simple defines edit that increases the number of districts you get per planet size. Simple. No scripts. No huge planets.

I wanted to fix the little planets only having a tiny amount of districts as well and this mod fixes that giving planets 2 districts for a size 1 planet and 100 districts for a size 50 planet. This I think is enough for your standard planet.

This works on ALL planets with districts: Planets, Habitats, and Ringworlds

Conflicts: Any that edit the defines file for district numbers or the deposit variables.

Save compatibility: No. Deposits are distributed at galaxy creation.

Issues: Goes near the very bottom of your load order. Just in case something overwrote it.

Compatibility: Always, unless Paradox removes the define, then it will do nothing forever more.

@Biggs, I concur. Just started a new game with this mod active and I got double the possible city districts.

@son-goku yeah it seems to add more city district spaces, but not basic resource districts. But in this 4.0 series of updates of stellaris it seems that most of the jobs come from the zones that are inside the city districts so in theory you are supposed to build lots of city anyway, but i dont know for certain. i am reduced to being a total noob because of this update

@son-goku im gonna try it again now on the 4.0 series of updates. its hard to comprehend this new district system but i think i know enough about it to know which districts this will add when i use it, so im gonna try it now, will report in a sec.

Does this mod still function?

I just started a new game since the 4.0 patch and my homeworld has 94 districts.

if you update this , please please please upload this current mod as a legacy version for those who dont want to play on 4.0. As you might know, 4.0 update was total overhaul of districts and buildings and other things, and while i like its idea in theory it is very awkward for me to play it and the existing problems with the view screen and various mods make it unplayable , even on vanilla it is awkward for me to play it. So i ask that you keep a legacy 3.9 version of your mod just in case anyone wants to play without this total overhaul in the good ole pop system we all know.

It only sort of works.

Yes, it does double the number of districts a planet can have, But...

Normally, the planet will get a number of Planetary Features that determine the number of Energy/Mine/Farm districts a planet can support. So, a Size 20 planet might have 12 to 15 districts spread across the Energy/Mine/Farm.

It worked this way in 3.14, now however, the number of districts are x2, the Energy/Mine/Farm are not.

what a relief thank you as i absolutely must use this as it makes even a small world pretty darn strong later once it fills up a bit

All the defines this mod changes still appear valid as of 4.0

hello there i love this, but im unsure with 4.0 release it will work fine with the changes to the game and all, its one of my go to mods as it makes planets more long term powerhouses by the late game
