Great Belt

This is an European map loosely based on an area around Nyborg in Denmark, located on the Funen island. This is in no way an accurate representation of the area. For instance, the road and rail networks are completely made up, as are the land reclamations. The terrain is relatively flat, although there is moderate variety in elevation. There is a bay surrounded by wharf areas. There are some minor rivers, lakes and canals.

There is an extensive network of railways and highways, as well as a shipping route connected to the harbour area. There are obviously air routes as well. In terms of resources, there is plenty of arable land, as well as patches of forest. There is also an off-shore oil deposit, in addition to a couple of small ore veins on land.

The river flowing through the star square is rather narrow, and the water flow in it isn't huge. However, a pond next to the river is a surprisingly good water source.
