Hero of Time Set

Description
This mod adds in several new pieces of armor, when put together form a "Hero of Time" set.

The specific pieces of equipment added are:

Chainmail Tunic
-
A heavy tunic that offers decent protection.

Phrygian Cap
-
A light weight height that offers good bonuses, but lacks defense.

Tights
-
Pants that won't protect you much, but they'll make you agile.

Tang Shirt
-
A shirt built around a martial arts play style.

Leather Boots
-
Essentially more protective drifter boots with a few bonuses, they don't protect nearly as well as plated boots.

Leather Boots Beta
-
This is a retexture of the leather boots. The stats are the same.

The tunics have two types: a strapless and normal type. The normal type will have the belt going across the chest and back while the strapless one will not.

The caps also have two types: a loose and tight type. The loose type will allow your hair to be seen through the cap, and the tight cap will obscure any hair (which is nice if you have a mohawk or hair that heavily clips through the cap).

There are five colors of tunics and caps: White, Green, Blue, Purple, Red. Only the white and green tunics can be crafted, however they do not offer any weather protection. The white tunic can be recolored if the character wearing it has a color scheme.

Blue tunics offer protection from rain, purple protects against acid, and the red tunic will protect from burning. The tunics grants 50% protection, and the caps another 50%, when worn together will offer complete immunity. You will have to find these special tunics and caps though as you will be unable to craft them.

The blueprints and armor can be found in most armor shops in the game, I have personally seen them appear in UC cities but are set to sparsely appear most places. Additionally the pieces of armor will sometimes appear on NPCs (though this is rare).

Not sure how practical or how much you'd be willing to do this, but I know that there are colored plate armor mods where the colored armors are not as powerful as the standard armors. What I think happened is that the mod maker cloned the armors and colored them, then LoFi rebalanced the original armors up, which didn't apply to the colored versions as they were cloned from the earlier versions. So if my understanding is correct, you can conceivably make copies of the two items, lower their stats to more appropriate levels for something that can be manufactured, and then have blueprints for those armors. In that situation, I could make versions of the items to make up for the rarity on vendors, but still would buy every high quality version I found on vendors.

Again, not sure how practical or worthwhile you'd find this (or even possible), but it's an idea. Either way, I respect your reasoning for not making the blueprints not available and would be fine whatever your decision.

I'm disappointed, but I totally respect your choice. I'm having a hard time finding both items on vendors and an even harder time finding high quality versions of them. I think I've pretty much tapped out at blue level, but most of them are lower quality than that.

No problem! The tights and shirt aren't craftable because I felt with their bonuses, being able to craft them at will is a bit much. That and it adds something new to the game to spend money on, which was something I wanted. It is entirely possible to make them craftable though.

Thanks. I have a couple of them now. It never even occurred to me to check the hat vendors for the hat blueprints because I'm an idiot, apparently.

Anyway, was not including blueprints for tights and the shirt a deliberate decision you made or is there some game issue that prevents them from being player-crafted?

The tights and shirt cannot be crafted so there are no blueprints for them. You'll have to visit the armor king to get those or the colored tunics in masterwork quality. Blueprints for the boots, the white/green tunics and caps can all be found in mongrel. Blueprints for the green tunic can be found in swamp armor shops, white/colorable tunic can be found in UC armor shops, shek armor shops can sell the boot blueprints. Hat vendors in UC cities sell blueprints for both green/colorable caps, hiver shops have a tiny chance of selling the colorable tunics. Tights and leather boots are sold by ninjas but not their blueprints.Tights, leather boots, and the shirt are sold by tech hunter armor shops, not their blueprints. There's some other places, but I listed the major ones. Your best bet is mongrel where all blueprints for the craftable armor pieces can be found. Color tunic spawns are super low and limited to a few factions, I've seen a purple tunic on a bounty hunter.

I'm having a real hard time finding any blueprints for these pieces. I've gone to every city in the game and come up empty, and have checked half of them again after importing and still haven't found any. Also, I've only seen the green and white tunics on NPCs. Not sure if it's just really bad luck on my part or if there's something going on. Is there a city where the blueprints are most likely to spawn, or is there a way for me to auto-spawn them?
