Description

After the launch an subsequent success of the Zonda Mk. II gunship, a small team of AES field engineers who had worked extensively with the original Zonda-class variant during its initial rollout began to mourn the mass decommissioning of their quirky ATG friend. After a short while, this team decided to put their heads together and develop an better design for the Mk. I Zonda, with improved armor and updated internals. After proposing it to AES Central Engineering, their request for a small production line of their new "Mk. I-B" was approved, and the design was scheduled to fully replace the Mk. I-A. Although most planetside operations use the Mk. II for close air support, this smaller alternative can be found on smaller-scale missions, and at outposts with limited resource access.
