High Performance Stabilizer (HPS) Controller

Description
High Performance Stabilizer Controller for speed boats

If building a speedboat, you need to include hydrofoil stabilizers on your hull to control bow elevation and provide some roll control to let you carve turns at speed.

Used on Marcotics's: Marine 7 - Triple Outboard Center Console Fishing Boat

The controller manages the up/down foil position (assign to up/down arrow keys with sticky on) to control your bow elevation when on plane. It also allows an adjustable percentage of rudder control input to be translated into roll control for carving turns using the hydrofoils.

The High Performance Stabilizer Controller includes adjustable settings for maximum foil elevation (default +/-10°) and % Rudder Translation (default 20%). With rudder value as an input, and S and P (Starboard, Port) foil position as outputs.

Also included is a "Degrees" output value that lets you tie the foil elevation to a sideways dial on your control console so you always know know the position of the foils. Take a look at how it was used on the Jupiter Sport demo boat to see how it works installed.

One last point... There is also an optional "Reverse" on/off input. So if you have a "Reverse" toggle on your boat, you can feed that to the HPS controller and set a snap-to foil position when the boat goes into reverse. The default setting is zero, so the foils snap to zero position when reverse is toggled on, and then go back to where the were previously when reverse is toggled off. Why include this feature? Some boat designs might nose up or down when in reverse and you can also use the HPS controller to counter that or at least not contribute with the default zero position (or maybe 30% down angle? ...or whatever you want)

I believe on Marcotics Marine-7 boat, the magic number for reverse was about 6 degrees.

It could, but would only be at speed. If it lists at rest, it would still list at rest.

Will this work with lists? My boat has one and balancing weight isn't helping.

@Thingus as your boat accelerates, I would use the up/down arrow keys. If your boat goes airborne regardless of how much down angle you put on your stabilizers, then your boat needs extra help. The default max elevation is 10° so you could also play with increasing that value to maybe 20°

I have 1 set of foils for speed but when I get over 100 km/h my boat goes to high and my foils catch air and I start flying. How do I use your micro controller to make the small hydrofoil control surfaces point down when I start going to high?

I completely agree with @Javitu. That people haven't given you more upvotes can only be attributed to the fact that uneducated players don't know what they are looking for. <3

Thanks! I plan to post some more MC solutions. It seems there are a lot of basic things I want to do with very few practical examples.
