Description
Hey all fellow daimyos!

Here comes a submod for the best "to-date" mod for Shogun 2, Master of Strategy. Before I go into the details, I would like to first appreciate all the effort taken for this mod and thank every special one who has lent a hand for it (big thanks for EngineerWeierstrass. If it weren't for him, I wouldn't have stepped on modding scene 3 months ago).

So, after we are done with credits part, here is what this mod does:

As you can understand from title, it adds new units (with new portraits, I couldn't stand staring at duplicate portraits) to original clans. This was one of the local unit mods that I created ( I have 70 more units in hand but cannot share them as they are all works of other modders but these ones are either scrapped from MoS's older iteration or altered code and I have the consent of Engineer.

Changes:

- First, it doesn't try to be historically-accurate. I love samurai scene and I love unit variety so I am trying to find some middle ground for this.

- Since I like to play with vanilla clans, I transferred all new clans' unique units into original clans and distributed them. Their names are now all denoted as "Hero" and subject to change. So if you can come up with beautiful names, I can gladly change them.
(Apart from Imagawa ones which are gone to Ikko ikki and Uesugi and named properly)
Total 18 units!!

- Katana Militia is one of the units in older MoS. Although it has no bigger role in game, I don't want lose this unit and I like having units with unique protraits :). It has both regular and Ikko-ikki version.
Total 2 units!!

- Great Guard is re-added and stats of it changed based on MoS.
Total 1 unit!!

- Regular version of Nagamaki Ronin for non-Ikko ikki clans is re-added by altering code.
Total 1 unit!!

- 2 Bandit/Wako units are added and named as Yumi and Katana Bandit.
Total 2 unit!!

So, in total, 24 units for MoS-Sengoku-Original Clans.
As said before, everything is subject to change, be it for balance, naming, typo, bugs.

!!!!!!!!!! IMPORTANT: It has to be loaded before MoSS mod. Activation order should in alphabetical order(starting from top to down) !!!!!!!!!!

@zxoeathustra Is this your first campaign? or are you saying the mod is broken. If you've played before you'll know that buildings are tied to recruitment cost as are the types of towns you've built. for instance, you build a samurai town for your samurai recruitment center, but don't make try to make it an ashigaru one at the same time or you'll waste resources.

If it's actually broken does it only happen when you're the Miyoshi? or does it occur frequently no matter what happens? I played through just recently with a friend and the only issue we noticed was that certain factions were obnoxiously overpowered, like the hojo being able to have 5 armies with only 4 provinces. or the Ashikaga Shogunate being peaced out for 100k Koku while my friend actually took a massive deficit just by taking Kyoto.

chosokabe campaign is impossible. they AI seem to have unlimited koku and no unit cap. The mioshi retainers are imposible to counter because you can't possibly have the koku to support any samurai or decent units and manage an economy. Farms and ashigaru should be much cheaper. Ashigaru as of now for some reason are more expensive than samurai sitting at around 700 koku while their samurai counterparts are at 500 koku. makes no sense! here's no way to diplo yourself out of it either.

Wasn't Great Guard supposed to be the Cavalry Unit as part of Kyoto after becoming the Shogun?

Thanks for your kind words however I think you are confusing me with the real author of MoSS; EngineerWeierstrass. I am just the creator of unit mods that add new units to his mod so you should chechk him for your questions.

But if you insist on my answer:))) try strongholds of samurai mod for vanilla game. It was created by Sorinel and has been constantly updated by him. Last update was 2 days ago?? I think.

Hello, i have seen your Mod on youtube and i have to say i am highly impressed but i have one question. Since i don't want to perplex my game too much and just want your amazing custom castle maps can i just download the castle maps so that they can apply to my campaigns or do i have to download everything including the unit changes, buildings etc.

Ps: i mean no disrespect the mod looks amazing but i want to keep it as simple as possible but with more realistic castles. Thanks in advance :)

As I was making my 14 submods, I suspected that I can do some balancing better. So there will be updates(balance, change of faction for units) in this week for all my mods.
