Era - 1960s / 1980s - AWA / NWA / WWWF

A home grown forieign threat, Baron von Raschke was one of the AWA's top performers for close to three decades, terrorizing opponents with his dreaded claw hold and audiences with his gruff German antics.

Raschke claimed to have arrived from Germany (but was actually born in Omaha, Nebraska), and was a constant threat wherever he traveled, although his main stomping grounds would always remain in the American Wrestling Association until it folded. More of a success in tag action than singles, as far as gold goes, Raschke held the AWA tag titles, and multiple NWA regional tag belts, as well as the WWA Heavyweight title.
