Description
Only Level 5, this is an underground starter base that is a more elaborate version of Underground Starter I. It's more expensive but it's better designed for expansion and looks fancier on the surface. It is more suitable for multiplayer co-op where you may want quarters, hangars, etc for multiple people.

It should require a full stack of stone, and a decent pile of wood, to make the concrete and carbon composite. The layers under the platform in front of the main door are almost entirely carbon composite because we are relying on the dirt/stone of the terrain for protection. Feeding concrete blocks and carbon composite blocks to the factory will speed up production time considerably.

To place it, use PgDn to sink it into the ground until the front platform is slightly buried. The "walls" around the solar panels are pretty high so it should be able to tolerate uneven terrain. You should be able to place this on a mountain if you want but it may require a little more drilling on the outside.

You must drill out the dirt from the inside to use this. This will not happen automatically. Drilling out everything but the engineering section (which you can put off until you want space for more tanks, etc) will get you about a full stack of stone.

Features:
  • Weapons: 2 x 15mm Miniguns, 1 x 30mm Cannon, 2 x Sentry Guns, space for several more turrets if needed.
  • Max solar, 4 Capacitors
  • Observation tower so you can see what's going on outside.
  • Central elevator and hub design for easy expansion.
  • All corridors are designed to be extended.
  • Two sections have essential equipment included: the production section and the habitat section.
  • Two "expansion corridors" that are purely to add your own rooms.
  • Habitat section contains an armor locker, bed, toilet, shower, med bay with cloning chamber (designed to be upgraded with medical station and all four medical devices).
  • Production section contains a large constructor (with space for 2 more), 8 large containers, a hydroponics (farm) area with grow lights and space for 2x3x3 plots, a food processor, two fridges, and the engineering section with core and equipment.
  • Small generator (with space for a T1 Large Generator)
  • Minimal fuel and O2 tanks.
  • Ventilators for everything except the engineering section.
  • Wireless connection (in the tower for optimal range on the surface)

Notes:
  • There's a flashing yellow light that comes on when either of the front doors are open. If you don't like this then just delete the OR circuit and that will prevent it from coming on.
  • I intentionally did NOT use container controllers and extensions for this because they use too much power. If you're playing with volume limits enabled then I recommend using one of these standalone warehouses for mass storage to save power.
  • Plant beds aren't included because you may not have a food processor to make them before you place this. Blocks intended to be replaced with plant beds are marked.
