M.D. A.C.I. G3

The ACIs (aerial combat interceptor) have been relatively untouched on the workshop for a while, but secretly the Mindless Dominion has been working on improving them. They went through the G2 stage without a peep to the public. Now finally the G3s are here, and the M.D. is releasing them to the public.

The G3 has taken a different turn from the other versions of the ACI. The biggest turn is the wing types used. Older versions of the ACI used multiple smaller wings to have redundancy for when one was lost, while the G3 uses bigger wings to give it a faster turning speed. While this may reduce it's ability to take damage, it compensates for it with a large battery supply to power the quad venture repair bubble array.

The armament of the ACI G3 is a modest pair of Avalanche missile launchers instead of using any Hawkeye missiles. This is due to the fact that Hawkeye missiles proved to be inadept at hitting other aerial targets. The inproved armament of the ACI is able to fire above it, around it, and a little bit below it. This gives the ACI a unique combat advantage over other planes that place their avalanche missile launchers horizontally on the wing tips, as they cannot aim outward as good as the horizontally placed launchers.

This will likely be the last version of the ACI to see production. The Aerial Combat Interceptor is small and cheap, and well-worth it's cost, but it cannot stand against the newest M.D. fighter, the High-Speed Interceptor (HSI). The HSI is more maneuverable, faster, and has more firepower. It also takes damage much better than the ACI. The ACI has been the main general-purpose fighter plane of the Mindless Dominion for quite some time, but it's days are at an end.
