Bayview Beach Amusement Park

Description
Bayview Beach Park started out in 1902 as a small seaside amusement park. With a dancehall, a beach and a few rides including a side friction scenic railway it began it's life as a premiere seaside destination. The legendary Bayview Beach Cyclone was added to the park in 1933 by designer Harry Traver.

Like the hills of the Cyclone Bayview Beach has seen many ups and downs with the park slowly degrading into obscurity in the 1970's and 80's as theme parks drew away the crowds. In 2000 the park was given a new lease of life with the replacement of several aging rides, the preservation of the Cyclone and the addition of the modern Gerstlauer coaster Posideon. Today Bayview Beach Amusement along with its glorious seaside location is a draw for the young and old as it keeps thrilling guests.

Coaster: The Cyclone
Built in the winter of 1933 by the legendary coaster designer Harry Traver the Bayview Beach Cyclone has been the big draw to the park. Through the depression, second world war and beyond this ride has thrilled generations of riders with its sudden drops, aggressive turns and seaside fun.

Coaster: Posideon
Posiden, built in 2008 by Gerstlauer was the first step in Bayview Beach's rebirth. Wrapping over and around the legendary Cyclone this coaster added the modern thrills that the aging park needed to again be a legendary seaside amusement resort.
