Ey, I like this mod. I don't always feel like having to deal with the fever but sometimes the challenge is fun. Sometimes. And sometimes I wanna be a silly magic boi eh? So some yall *Dust, and many other prob* need to take a chill pill with a chaser of bleach and let people enjoy themselves however they want. And it's not a "bastardization" modding was actively allowed and thus fine. xoxo Katoari

obviously not *everyone* feels that the fever is a good mechanic. Rather than cheaper potions, the game should have the ability to disable it in the options rather than try to force their mechanic down everyone's throats.

@먼지 yes that Skyrim mechanic with potions mid combat was the reason they included arcanist fever, but Enderal is especially at the beginning challenging enough without the fever.
also I dislike that only Light magic&healing potions increase the fever and no other magic or potions, not very coherent...

@katoari i can imagine you dont think its fun because you made this mod lol. without the lingering threat of death by arcane fever there is no reason to just chug potions mid combat. so not only are you making chugging viable but in the process your making food obsolete because you could just chug. this mod makes healing magic, life drain, and food obsolete.if you want the game to be easier why waste your time on a mod when you could just lower the difficulty and not bastardize the core experience.

managing your arcane fever is at the games core in terms of gameplay especially in the early game when your character is at its weakest and you have to decide on keeping your arcane fever up or spending gold on improving your equipment this forces you to make a sacrifice in some aspect and restricts you from becoming overpowered super early in the game. ambrosia serves the function of slowing down your character progression to match the pace of the story and not be able to completely roll over it with zero effort.

. making it 21 gold destroys the core of the game because there is nothing stopping you from becoming an unkillable monster within the first 10 hours of the game. the arcane fever mechanic is what makes the game challenging and consequently fun. but i guess some people just want to turn there brain off and go full retard, not for me but i guess if its your thing than the mod is good.
