Portable Printing

If you’ve ever dug around in Starbound’s unused features, you may have come across a Portable Pixel Printer. Excited, you probably tried spawning it in for yourself. Unfortunately, this item was never fully implemented and doesn’t function. This mod changes that.

The Printer can be found at Treasured Trophies at the cost of some expensive items, or you can spawn it in yourself with:
/spawnitem pprinter

Starbound’s interface capabilities are somewhat lacking at times, which limits what can be modded in. For example: Crafting interfaces (which the printer falls under) can only be opened by objects. I wish I could make the item open the window itself, but I had to make a workaround.
Using the printer spawns a small node on the player that remains as long as you are close to it. It functions as the access to the Printer. From there, you can print just as you always could.

*The printer doesn’t function in protected areas such as missions or the outpost, nor when you stand in front of an object. There’s nothing I can do about that; I’ve tried.
*Something might happen if you add more “p”s to the spawn command. Something strange.

(Right click with the Printer to access a menu with gadgets and blocks)
*Nano Stove - You explore the cosmos, you should be cooking with high-tech flames. Functions as a campfire.
*Nano Counter - A new item for preparing food previously found only in the kitchen counters. Warning: all food made here will have high quantities of SCIENCE!
*Nanowraps - Can now be constructed directly with pixels. Watch your wounds heal faster than you can say “Science is a systematic enterprise that builds and organizes knowledge.”
*Matter Blocks - Pixels are the building blocks of all matter. The one who controls the pixels controls the universe. Paint them to turn them invisible.
*And a bunch of metal blocks!
