OpFour: Caustic [Brawler] <C>

Description
In an unknown sector, an idea is refined to a sharp edge...

The Operation demanded a mid sized frigate capable of taking immense amounts of punishment, with a departure from the typical doctrine of relying on agility and minimal armoring to achieve combat sustainability.
This vessel would feature heavy armoring and damage control systems- while maintaining operational range and a reasonable degree of maneuverability.
As it is a curated vessel following a different doctrine and naming scheme, It was to be titled Caustic, in relation to its predecessor- the Volatile.

Built in a similar style as the Traditional series, Caustic falls between the traditional Proteus and Charon in its size class, making it slightly larger than Volatile- It features a composite armoring scheme for the top and bottom of the vessel that helps give it resistance against the latest high velocity weapons and torpedoes, along with a narrow frontal profile akin to the Traditional series, that makes use of its damage control systems to create a fire-attracting strike face that can endure sustained fire.
When it comes to agility, Caustic has impressive and balanced acceleration for its mass but it will find itself having difficulty changing directions quickly.

It delivers a reasonable degree of firepower, though it does not focus on strong spinal weaponry- as its purpose is to draw and absorb fire to give lesser vessels a chance to deliver greater damage.

Doctrine for Caustic is simple, an Operator is advised to face the front towards the enemy and utilize its stronger strafing thrust to dodge heavier weapons fire when possible- keeping the Caustic in range of enemy guns to ensure its ECM can keep the enemy's attention away from other friendlies.
