Description
Rydygier's Pilgrimage mission ported to Panthera terrain.

It is a randomly generated mission where it is different every time you play.

The aim of the mission is to find your brother's body and take him home. Along the way you will have to contend with patrols, garrisons, checkpoints, camps, strongholds and airfields as well as the gunships and mad invention.

This mission and many other ports of Pilgrimage can be found at https://forums.bohemia.net/forums/topic/208892-pilgrimage-ported/

Full credit for the Pilgrimage mission goes to Rydygier.

Porting a mission takes work. Using the latest Altis mission as a starting point, in the editor copy everything from the map to the new map and resize them all to the new map. Then copy all the files except for mission.sqm to the new mission.

Collect co-ordinates for your strongholds/airfields, checkpoints, holy places, landing places and replace the arrays in the existing files with yours in the correct format. Any errors and the mission won't start. At this stage test to make sure the mechanics of the mission are working. It doesn't work with all maps

You can then start to customise the mission by getting rid of all mentions of Altis and adjusting bits of the code here and there. If the terrain is landlocked the starting boat will need to be replaced with a vehicle and all the bits of code adjusted accordingly.

The Pilgrimage BI Forum from Dec 2016 onwards is useful as that is when the mission started to be ported by players.

I tried other missions from the workshop, none of them allowed me to save. I subscribed to them today, maybe there is something weird going on, i restarted my pc and steam, no luck.

There must be some sort of delay or bug in the process of downloading the missions.

Anyway, thanks for your help here.

Btw, i tried to port pilgrimage myself, but it did not work properly, the mission always just ended after the options part. Is there any guide out there to help me port the mission?

Pilgrimage doesn't do anything to affect normal saving, so I am at a bit of a loss to solve your problem.

Nope, this just gives me a static screen after loading >.<
Any other idea?

I am pretty sure i have no mods that restict saving, i mean, saving works on any other mission. I will give quick saving a try, i really need some new maps for my pilgrimage.

I can't say that it has eve happened to me. Are you using any mod that restricts saving at all? You could trying this quick save mod by R3vo https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=489296873
