Lafayette-Lite Personal Frigate (Vanilla/Modless)

Description
This is a remake of an old popular build I uploaded that was unfinished. The original is far too large to reliably be completed, so with the release of the full game and all of the cool new features they added I decided to remake the ship into a more smaller, survival friendly, useable, and completed version.

It has always been one of my favorite designs.

For the larger, more detailed, but unfinished version, check here: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=687012529

---

This is a light armored personal frigate based on a larger ship of mine. Its purpose is to provide a decent and reliable large ship to build in vanilla survival gameplay.

This ship is mostly battery operated. It is equipped with four solar panels, and two wind turbines for natural energy production, as well as numerous hydrogen engines to help power the ship. There is a single small reactor for use as emergency power.

It features a combination of Hydrogen and Atmospheric thrusters with planetary capabilities.

The ship has several useable external conveyor ports to be used for turrets or further connectors.

The top deck is accessible through the hangar through a ladder.

The bridge is equipped with LCD panels displaying ship diagnostics and ship velocity indication. (Scripts used further down.)

Features include:
-Small ship hangar bay. Can hold 4 small sized small ships.
-Assembler and Refinery with room for upgrade modules. The default modules on the blueprint are for power efficiency.
-Hydrogen and Oxygen generation, with multiple oxygen and hydrogen tanks.
-A Medical bay for player respawn.
-A single all purpose room with a bed compartment.
-A survival kit for part assembly from stone.
-Parachutes for emergency planetary landings.

The scripts used are:
Phil's Ship Diagnostics: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=715138160
Whip's Artificial Horizon and Velocity Script: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=713653017

Feel free to grind away and add anything you would like and utilize the extra programmable blocks and timers not in use.

Please let me know if there are any problems encountered so I may fix it when I have time. I will update this ship on my own as well whenever I find something that needs updating.

Thank you for viewing~

Really?? Damn, that's awesome that landing gears work to activate wind turbines. Then it makes tons of sense.

Thank you everyone for the feedback!

@Doctor Budgie That makes sense. I thought I noticed something like that while play testing. I play tested the ship and noticed the turbines worked while the ship's landing gear was attached to the planet at least.

Thank you very much for taking the time & effort to make & share this!

Faved, liked and subscribed. I'm sold on the aesthetics. But why add wind turbines? I thought they are not functional if the grid isn't static, eg a base?

It’s shape reminds me of a vaygr lance fighter. Cool!

That is a very kind thing to say. Thank you. Hopefully I will continue to put as much effort into my future blueprints, and more. Your words are encouraging.

Sometimes the effort that goes into these kinda ships is unnoticed. And I'm here to say that I acknowledge the effort put into this fine vessel. Keep up the good work.
