Description

Replace all NPC voiceline with L4D Arcade Japanese Dub
(e.g Whitaker, Virgil etc)

Install Instruction

1. Make backup of this files

(C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Left 4 Dead 2\left4dead2\sound\npc)

and

(C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Left 4 Dead 2\left4dead2_dlc2\sound\npc)

and

(C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Left 4 Dead 2\left4dead2_dlc3\sound\npc)

2. Install GCFscape Download [gamebanana.com]

3. Open GCFscape, navigate to this vpk

(C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Left 4 Dead 2\left4dead2\addons\workshop\1678136694.vpk)

(Might need to restart Left 4 Dead 2 and let it download for it to appear)

4. Extract and replace all files to

(C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Left 4 Dead 2\left4dead2\sound\npc)

and

(C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Left 4 Dead 2\left4dead2_dlc2\sound\npc)

and

(C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Left 4 Dead 2\left4dead2_dlc3\sound\npc)

5. Open Left 4 Dead 2 and open console by pressing ~

(Enable dev console first by pressing Options->Keyboard/Mouse->Allow Developer Console-Enable)

then type "snd_rebuildaudiocache;snd_updateaudiocache;quit" without quote

-Game should quit automatically after it finished rebuilding the audiocache
should be around 3 to 5 minute depending on your computer spec.

6. Done. Now all the NPC will speak in their Japanese dub

Uninstalling

Unsubscribe and simply restore the backup you've made and open the console ~ then type "snd_rebuildaudiocache;snd_updateaudiocache;quit"

You can also restore the original sound by going to your

Steam Client->Library->Games->Right click Left 4 Dead 2->Properties->Local Files->Verify Integrity of Games files.

Note - Replace all NPC voice including the ones from Left 4 Dead 1 Campaign
