Description
Era - 1980s / 1990s - WWF/WCW/AJPW/Stampede

Davey Boy Smith was born in Golborne, England, and began training in pro wrestling in the land of his birth, but a move to Canada, and the conclusion of his training under Stu Hart would begin his rise in the business.

Smith wrestled for the Hart family's promotion, Stampede Wrestling, becoming a star, and starting a feud with the Dynamite Kid. However, this feud would quickly change into an alliance, with the two forming the team of the British Bulldogs, and making a splash, joining up with All Japan Pro Wrestling, and then the WWF. The Bulldogs were well ahead of their time in the ring, utilizing cutting edge techniques, and Smith's power and agility certainly helped.

After some time jumping around between organizations, Smith returned to the WWF in 1990, taking on the British Bulldog moniker for himself, and had a spectacular match with Bret Hart for the Intercontinental title in 1992.

More traveling around eventually led the Bulldog back to the WWF by '94, in a run where he would compete with the top of the card, almost won the Royal Rumble, but for a twisting show of agility from Shawn Michaels, and bolstered the ranks of the Hart Foundation. A stint in WCW later on only led to injury, and one more return to the WWF came in 1999, where Smith revamped his appearence and sought out the Hardcore and European titles.
