Description
CLIMB MOUNT NARODNAIA
This series of scenarios is meant to simulate a Soviet invasion of Japan, after a joint Japanese-Korean-American fleet exercise is seen by the Soviets as a preparation for an attack against the motherland. These scenarios are not meant to be overly realistic, but instead are designed to mirror a campaign by the same name in Wargame: Red Dragon, with a few twists, edits, and additional content to make the missions more enjoyable and challenging. The first days of the Soviet offensive have proven catastrophic for the remaining JSDF forces. With the reinforcing American carrier strike group still several days away, the Japanese are getting desperate. Many higher ups have suggested surrender in the face of these overwhelming odds, not willing to see more Japanese civilians and military die in the massacre of the conflict.
American forces are trying their best to keep their allies in the fight, and now with South Korea joining the fight, they need a big score in order to bring about some hope for their war effort.
The Soviets currently have a massive intelligence gathering and ballistic missile coordination ship, the Kapusta, operating in the Tsugaru straight. This immense vessel is a unique design, and its powerful communications and surveillance equipment forms a large part of the Red's command and control infrastructure in the region.
After a few days of reconnaissance, American leaders have devised a bold plan- sending a single stealth bomber into the Tsugaru straight to put Kapusta at the bottom. A successful strike against such an important target deep in controlled Soviet territory could be an absolute game changer, bringing about proof that the bear can bleed. And if it can bleed, it can be killed...

INTERLUDE ONE: STRAIGHT RUNNER
Scenario Notes:
-I fully understand that the real Kapusta was... not very functional at all. Lets imagine that she worked as intended.
-These interludes are smaller scenarios that aren't necessarily a big part of the campaign. They are instead meant to give some context on other action that is happening during the events of the other scenarios. As always, the main objective is to have fun!
-This is another scenario of my own creation and has no ties to the original Wargame campaign.
